121  ('A' Series / Kerryl)      Baluster-shaped vase
:
No example is known. This item is rare or perhaps even non-existent.
The shape book shows no sketch or details, just "16" (Later Series 16)

TWO SHAPES
The 'A' Series is recorded in a shape book, starting at the back page, the front of the book being occupied by the Remued Later Series. Numbers run from A1 to A126. After a gap however, numbers A101 to A122 are repeated with different shapes. Both versions are shown here.

This piece is un-numbered and unsigned but is undoubtedly an example of the A121 shape. It was found amongst the collection of potter Allan James' family.
Not a favourite of ours - as one contributor to this site commented, "What were they thinking?!"

It appears to be a replica - with slight alteration - of the AACP/Kalmar vase below.
