Incised 196/7M Remued Hand Made 1934.
196 is the highest number yet recorded that shows a date. These pieces demonstrate that Early Series numbers reached at least as high as 196 during first year of numbering,1934. (An even higher number, Early Series 201, can also be linked to 1934 despite having no numbered example recorded.)
Base inscriptions like this - with a shape-number and a date - are quite rare, and of great value in piecing together the history of the Remued range. If you have any Remued piece with such an inscription we'd be delighted to hear from you.     Contact us.
