Does this shape appear in other series? Yes, although not exactly the same - Later Series 163 and 'A' Series / Kerryl A111 are similar but slightly smaller and this 61 posy ring has a more rounded shape to its sides. Further on in the Early Series however another posy ring appeared that is very similar to 61, Early Series 424. Both are rare; only a single example is recorded for both 61 and 424. It seems that it was not until the post-war years that posy rings became a popular item, in the Later Series.
Dimensions; height 5 cm, diam 17.5 cm.
Base incised Remued 61.
This is the only recorded example.
Un-numbered, unsigned, Remued sticker.
Height 7cm, diameter 16 cm.
Quite a different profile shape, but given its proximity in the numbering series to Early Series 60 which is a half-ring of similar profile, it is tempting to speculate that it may be an earlier version of Early Series 61. This is the only recorded example.
