83  (Early Series; PPP)   Honey pot with lid.

Does this shape appear in other series?   No, not exactly -  (none recorded) although there are lidded pots that are somewhat similar eg Later Series 75. There are also un-numbered PPP examples.

Only one size is recorded but there is evidence for a second size - see below.

Height;  7.5 - 8.5 cm excluding lid.

In the style of Torquay ware. One base unmarked, one stamped PPP
Reverse side showing 'mottos';  "Take a liittle honey" and "Help yourself"

An ad from 'Table Talk' magazine, Melbourne, dating from November 1932 which was before shape-numbering or the Remued name were introduced.

The ad mentions two sizes for this honey pot but the only size yet recorded is the one pictured above.

Not only honey; "Take a little jam".
Base stamped PPP.
The motto and cottage are sgraffito, scribed through a slip coating. The technique appears limited to earlier pieces. Here an unfortunate chip reveals the underlying terracotta.
