9 (Pamela Series) Plump baluster vase, wide flared lip.
(Plain - no applied gumleaf decoration)
In the Remued Early Series, shape-numbering used suffixes to distinguish between sizes and between decorated and undecorated versions. Here in the Pamela Series however, each variant had its own separate number. Pamela 9 subsequently combined with 2, 11 & 13 to become
Remued Early Series 196, suffixed
4, 4M, 7M and
7 respectively.
This shape is the smaller of two sizes in the Pamela Series. The same size but with decoration is
Pamela 2. A larger size, about 17-18 cm tall, is
Pamela 11 (decorated) and
Pamela 13 (undecorated).
Height; 10.5 - 11.5 cm.
Collection; Ross & Sharron Pentreath
Un-numbered, base incised Pamela
The Junk Company, Melbourne.
An example is recorded incised Pamela 1934 but mistakenly numbered 8.
