129 (Early Series) TWO SHAPES (?)
This is one of those numbers that were used for two different shapes at different times during the Early Series years; initially a PPP vase, then some time after PPP was discontinued in 1934 a Remued chanberstick.
129 (Early Series, PPP) Vase, bulb base with collar and flaring neck.
Does this shape appear in other series? No - (none recorded).
Only one size is recorded - indeed, only one example is recorded - but the use of the inch suffix 8 suggests that other sizes may have existed.

Stamped PPP, incised 129/8
There is a curious footnote to this shape.
It appears that a jug version was contemplated and it was going to be numbered 194. However, the jug failed to materialise and number
194 was allocated instead to a basket shape, which went on to become the top-selling Remued shape. This shape-book entry - crossed out - reads
"same as 129/8 only Jug"
