171 (Early Series) Baluster-shaped vase with high shoulder and small flared lip.
Does this shape appear in other series? No - (none recorded in image database)
Height; 10 - 12 cm
Collection; Lynne Cumming
175 (Early Series) TWO SHAPES
This appears to be one of those numbers that were assigned to two different shapes during the course of the Early Series years, although the second may perhaps be questionable.
171 (?) (Early Series) Cylinder vase with flaring lip.
Curiously, the shape also appears elsewhere in the Early Series as
Early Series 145/4. Only a single 171 piece is recorded, which does allow the possibility that it might be a mistake and should have been 145/4. Also, neither the glaze nor the base is quite typical - could it perhaps even be a fake? Another example is needed for confirmation. (If you have one please
contact us.)
Height; 10.5 cm
