57 (Early Series) TWO SHAPES
: This is one of those Early Series numbers that was assigned twice, first to a PPP shape, and then some time after PPP was discontinued in 1934, to a Remued shape.The two shapes here are somewhat similar.

The sketch could represent either of these two shapes. It is perhaps more like the Remued version below. However it comes from a shape book for which nearly all known examples are found with PPP markings.
