Base incised 25 Pamela 1934

On these two un-numbered examples the signature, instead of being incised as usual, is impressed, ie
pressed in with a stamp. The depression made by the stamp can be seen surrounding the word Pamela.
Impressed signatures are extremely rare.
- Another recorded example is an impressed PPP monogram on an un-numbered ashtray.
- An impressed signature on an un-numbered Pamela 8 basket has been gone over with the incising tool and '1934' added.
With so few examples it is not possible to draw a firm conclusion but it would seem that this method of marking was briefly trialled in 1934 but soon abandoned.
