174  (Early Series)    Small jug with ribbed bulbous base and straight throat

Does this shape appear in other series?  No, not in other series, but stray examples are recorded at Early Series 274 and Early Series 181 - both seemingly mistakes that should have been incised 174. This number seems to have been somewhat error-prone.

It is the jug version of the Early Series 175 vase.
Distinguished from Early Series 181 by having a longer neck.

Height;  8 - 10 cm

174  (Early Series)   Small two-bulge vase with square mouth

Does this shape appear in other series?  No - not in other series, but curiously it appears again in the Early Series as Early Series 195. We can only speculate as to the reason. Probably Premier realised they had mistakenly applied 174 to two different shapes and promptly corrected matters by giving this one another number. This explanation is consistent with the observed frequency of each number - 174 is very rare for this shape, only a single example being recorded, whereas 195 is more common.

Height;  9-10 cm.
