181  (Early Series)    Urn-shaped footed vase with flat circumferential band.

Does this shape appear in other series?  Yes, Pamela Series 20.   There are also un-numbered examples, both Pamela and Remued.  Recorded Pamela pieces have applied gumleaf decoration.  Remued pieces either have gumleaves or are commemorative of Victoria's centenary in 1934.

Height; 20 - 21 cm.

181  (Early Series)    TWO SHAPES
: This is an Early Series number for which shape-book information exists. It is also another of those numbers that were assigned to two different shapes during the course of the Early Series years.

181  (Early Series)    Small jug with ribbed bulbous body and flaring lip.

Does this shape appear in other series? Yes - 500 Series 512.
It is the jug version of the Early Series 182 vase.
Distinguished from the somewhat similar Early Series 174 jug by a shorter throat and wider flare.
One piece is recorded incised 181 but with the 174 shape - presumably just a stray mistake.

Height; 9 - 10.5 cm
